Title: 8400 GSHow to swap to low profile bracket
Post by: krivine on December 15, 2011, 02:49:42 pm
I've just bought one of these and there are no instructions for swapping the standard bracket to the supplied low profile bracket. I guess I need to undo the screw that holds the HDMI socket, and the two bolts holding the DVI socket. It's these that stump me - they're hexagonal, and I thought an allen key would do it, but none of mine fit. Any ideas?

The model is GV-N84S512I Rev 3.0.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I wouldn't think it is difficult. Have you tried both Metric and Imperial sizes of allen key ?

I must admit I thought that they would require a spanner or nut driver as I thought they were male that you needed to unscrew. :-\

Thanks; you're right. A work colleague reckons I need a 4mm wrench bit.

Certainly sounds more like it. I haven't got the card in front of me so I am just going on the normal fixings but that would be more like usual. ;)
