Title: EP45 ACHI DVD drive problem
Post by: nedjinski on December 22, 2011, 10:00:38 pm
I have an EP45 UD3R motherboard -

I want to swicth to SATA ACHI mode -

When I make the change in the BIOS the computer will not start and wants to do a repair install -

During POST the DVD drive (NEC 3500A) shows up in green type indicating an error (?)

I am guessing the DVD drive being an IDE drive is causing the problem?

Do I need a special driver to get the DVD drive to be recognized in ACHI mode?

Or is there another issue going on?

Hi nedjinski,

Have you connected the DVD drive to the purple coloured SATA ports on your Motherboard?

Read the contents within the table and the information below......click on link.
