Build a new computer using the build in HD3000 graphics of the i5-2500K proc.
- My monitor is connected to the onboard DVI port.
- My TV is connected to the onboard HDMI port.
The monitor (DVI) should be the default display for displaying BIOS, POST etc. However the machine defaults to the HDMI port for this and therefore I do not get anything displayed on my monitor until the OS is loaded. Within the OS I can get my monitor (DVI) as default so that's not a problem.
However I would like my monitor to display the BIOS and POST! I cannot find any option within the BIOS to change the default output port. What are my options?

I have the same problem with GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 and i5-2500K.

Have you looked at the Advanced BIOS Features in your motherboard manual on pages 48 - 49?
See - Init Display First & Onboard VGA
Hope this helps
