Hello all i need some advise
ive been running my GA-X58A-UD7 for a few years now without so much as a whisper of problems until recently.....
iv recently started getting C1 post issues and believe that my RAM may be the culprit (i pray it is anyway)
i have 2x corsair CMX6GX3M3A1333C9 (12G total)
i realise mixing 2 sets isnt wise however iv now had any problems before
i have OC the ram up to 1600Mhz at 1.5 volts
(Each stick passed 10 cycles of memtest)
im now looking for help choosing some faster RAM (as i think its probably best)
iv looked at the compatability chart provided by gigabyte on my board however im in manchester in jolly old England and im finding it hard to locate any of the sticks
Your help would be much appreciated
With regards
Alundran

Hi
Before chucking away your probably perfectly good memory sticks try just increasing the voltage on them to 1.55v. Make sure that your QPI/Vtt is at least 1.1v for safety.
Forget Gigabyte's QVL for the memory you are better off using the QVL of the memory manufacturer that you want to use. eg Corsair:

or Crucial:

Well...I would have thought of the following:
Scan
Aria
Failing that use the interweb and order what you require....that may be the only solution.
Teknology9

Dark mantis
i have tried tickling the voltage up in increments although i decided to call it a day at 1.65 volts and brought it back down
i wont be throwing them away ill be using them in the home network server and home cinema pc
Teknology9
i have been hunting around on those sites (scan being my default as its just over the road from where i work) and they only seem to have the Vengence kits and iv heard there not exactly great

Hi Alundran, ;)
I suggest this models:
Transcend TX2000 KLN-8GK
aXeRam DDR3 2000+MHz Dual Channel Kit (4GBx2, 9-11-9-24, 1.6V)
http://www.transcend-info.com/Press/index.asp?LangNo=0&PrsNo=1643&axn=Detail
or
G.Skill RipjawsX F3-12800 CL9D 4GBXL
http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=349
Just check if they are compatible with your hardware.
If so, you can buy more kit.
