Title: Can not update BIOS on P67Aud3p
Post by: bogs747 on January 01, 2012, 08:12:49 am
Hi,
I always was holding Gigabyte with the high regards, paying more for the boards, but i think that will change

I don't know what else to do with the board ...... except to turf it.
I tried to use QFlash using image downloaded from GB site on 1Jan 2012
after I went to Qflash using F8
Selected the image P67AUD3P.F5 or P67AUD3P.F6 ( but it works for P67AUD3P.F3 )

--------------
Reading BIOS File
--------------
Invalid BIOS Image!
Press any key to continue
--------------

I created USB boot and was able to boot to the USB and run
FlashSPI P67AUD3P.F5 and .F6
and after
Loading BIOS .....
I get
!!!  Bad Image File  !!!

I CAN NOT USE @BIOS because i have no operating system on it, and I am setting OSX on it

What else can i use ?
I don't want to setup the whole PC with XP or 7 just to flash the damn BIOS.  :(  :'(

It just drag you down, trying to go around the net for 3 days and looking for solutions that should be working but they not.
Disgrace, Is this the best that Gigabyte has to Offer

It might be the time to change the brands and start penalizing businesses for the bad products

Regards
Bogs

Can you post a link to where you downloaded the bios update from?

If you remove the battery (24 hrs) it'll reset the bios to the original and it'll be usable, until we resolve your issue.
