Post by: faxepedersen on January 06, 2012, 05:46:40 pm
Hi I´m using my computer only to my tv, a 42 inches Sharp with an HDMI cabel and win 7 op, sometimes when I start or log on the the sound will choose HDMI and sometimes realtek digital most of the time realtek (and with realtek no sound). I´m must start or log on off many times before the right sound device will be picked up by the computer. I added a picture of the sounddevice

Anybody who can help me with this problem (sorry for my bad english I´m from Sweden)

All the best/ Peder

Hi there,

If you only use the TV for your sound and it is connected through an HDMI from the Video Card then you need to set your default Audio Device to AMD HDMI Output.

If you are not using the onboard Realtek sound at al,l you can safely disable this feature in BIOS to prevent further problems. You do this under the Integrated Peripherals section of the BIOS and disable the Azalia Codec
