Post by: nirvana on January 10, 2012, 05:42:50 pm
Hi all,

I have a GA990-FXA-UD7 rev1.1. I want to know: has anyone tried the Corsa EVO GOC38GB2133C10ADC Geil memory (8GB - 2 * 4GB )????
If U need a link to Geil site:  http://www.geil.com.tw/products/showSpec/id/315  (http://www.geil.com.tw/products/showSpec/id/315)

Thanks!!!

Hi there,

I haven't used this particular memory so can't say if it will work properly or not.

That said, a lot would depend on which CPU you are using. If it is an FX processor then it should be OK but you would have to manually set the Voltage, speed and timings as by default it will set to 1333MHz at 1.5V.

I wouldn't recommend these modules if you are running a Phenom ii CPU.

It is normally good quality the same as anything from Geil. However have you checked their QVL to see if your motherboard is listed as compatible ?
