Hello everyone i am looking to upgrade my memory, is it possible to use DDR3 Memory on my MB
I have a GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-UD4H AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard
on the MB it says DDR2 1200+,
Thanks in advance

no unfortunately its a DDR2 only board ,there is also a warning of sorts on the memory support list for that model board that reads .
Note:Due to AMD AM3/AM2+ CPUlimitation, DDR2 1066 or above speed memory module is only supported by 1 dimm per channel.

Hi Pantz..Welcome.
Try out this site, http://www.motherboards.org/reviews/motherboards/1876_2.html.
It gives pretty good info regarding your board, & lack of DDR3 support.
Hope this helps.
Ben.
PS. looks like someone beat me to it. (slow typing).
