I was working on installing Windows 7 64bit on a RAID0 3TB Volume for a few hours, tried different things which didn't help me too much (apart from the diskpart command which was necessary for setting up the Volume)
after a few hours I finally got to the solution and all I can say is...
UPDATE your BIOS to the latest because my shipped version (F4) just didn't boot with EFI at all... whoops!
hope this helps anyone

Thanks for the info! I'm sure it'll help someone ;D

The first thing one should do right after buying hardware (especially a motherboard) is download all firmware updates, drivers, and read patch notes/change logs. The CD you get with hardware is already out of date; don't bother with it.

This is standard advice and always is a good start. Never rely on the media that comes with the card/board as it is always out of date before you even get it.
