Title: GA X38 DS4 Firewire ?

I have had my GX X38 DS4 for a long time and am currently tryin to get my MiniDV camcorder to hook up to the PC via the firewire but it does not seem to work.
I have read the manual but am not sure what to do, do i need to hook up more motherboard jumpers or somthing to enable the firewire on the motherboard ?

Acording to gigabyte website that already has firewire on the back. Just make sure its enabled in BIOS + can be seen in device manager
