Title: Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 and gskill sniper 1866 8GB

Hi, the motherboard recognize the memory as 1600.
If set the speed manualy to 1866 the system dont start. It says tha overclocking failure and reseting the memory at 1600.
I have fx-8150. It suppose is ready for 1866 ram.
any help?
I have the F9 bios.

Hi and welcome.

The first thing I would suggest is to check that all of your memory is in perfect order.

Follow the instructions exactly please.

I would suggest that you download and run the latest version of  Memtest86+ to check your RAM first.

Memtest86+        http://www.memtest.org/

Insert one stick of memory in slot 1 and run Memtest on it for at least 10 complete loops/cycles and if there are no errors then swap it over with the next one and continue untill you have checked all  modules.
 
If you have any errors the module is faulty.

If you have any faulty modules you will have to return the whole kit as they are matched.

Post back when you have done that with the results. Also are you running with all the slots filled ? A list of your hardware might help us.
