Title: GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 + 2600k to overclock to 4.5ghz
Post by: Nathn on February 06, 2012, 10:56:22 am
Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and overclocking, looks like a good site. I searched the forums but couldn't find anything.. I want to overclock my comp to 4.4 - 4.5 ghz. Are there any screen shot guides on how to do so with this setup?

Hi and welcome.

There are several diffferent guides and pointers to help with overclocking the newer boards on the forum in the relevant section. I would suggest a read through and then if you have any specific questions you can ask them.

I just set the:
Ratio to 42
XMP Profile1
Turbo Boost Disabled
Memory Performance Enhance Standard
Load-Line Disabled
All DRAM voltages to Normal
Everything else on Auto or its default

I got 4.5 but required more drastic settings than what it is worth to me.  My suggestion is to see what it can do normally first, then see what you can get out of it and store those profiles.
