Hi
First of all I am no computer expert so dummie guide replies would be appreciated.
My system is as below and is currently working ok with 1 x 4GB od DDR3 ram
If I try using 2x 4 GB of the same type of RAM the machine shuts down several times per day,If I try using 1 x 8GB of Ram(GSKILL DDR3=1333) the machine hangs at the "loading Windows" screen and will not boot any further.I have tried both slots.
I beleive the BIOS is the latest version The whole system is just a few months old.(please don't reply get it fixed on warranty as it was purchesd abroad and costly shipping is involved)
I ran MEM tests an all memory sticks seem to be ok.
Please help
Thanks for any replies

Hi there,
I think, if I were faced with your problem, I would update the BIOS to the latest version as this may help. I would recommend using QFlash to run the update and that you disable the "Keep DMI Data" Option on the QFlash homescreen prior to actually running the update.
If you are not sure how to update the BIOS using QFlash check here: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,2441.msg13929.html#msg13929 Make sure you download the correct BIOS version for your motherboard as your board has two revisions.
Don't worry that the latest BIOS for your motherboard is a beta version, it will be quite safe to use.
