Title: Dual Charnnel Mode, Ga-A75M-D2H motherboard
Post by: jerseyjoe on February 08, 2012, 09:32:31 pm
Hi All, I just built a new pc with Windows 7 32 bit, A75M-D2H MB, AMD A6-3670 Processor and 2X2GB of GSkill f3-10666cl9d 1333 memory. I am trying to get the memory to run dual channel. In CUPZ the dual channel fields on the memory tab are blank. I do not see a bios setting for dual channel and the interleaving setting in the bios is enabled. Any help setting up or confirming if the system is running dual channel would be appreciated. Bios is updated to f5 via Q-flash. Memory is listed on Gigabytes list as compatible.

One other note, touch bios software locks the mouse up whenever I try to enter any of the options. It is a ps2 mouse.

Thanks, Joe

I am not sure why cpuz doest show it and why it is greyed out but if your command rate reads 2T you should be in dual channel mode. My guess is that because the board only has 2 slots and they are both filled that might do it but is a pure guess. I have all 4 of my slots filled with quad channel ram and it shows as dual because thats all my board supports.  Your memory is dual channel i am not sure but in bios do you have an option to run it ganged or unganged if so try unganged then try ganged and see what cpuz shows on each one.

Just to add to what autotech has already stated, on your motherboard filling both slots will automatically enable Dual Channel mode. I would be careful of the report in CPUZ as it may not be recognising the motherboard properly and is something I have come across before, especially with newer motherboards.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately from the command rate line down is also grayed out. On the SPD tab the command rate is also grayed out. It does recognize my motherboard on the motherboard tab.
No option for ganged or unganged in bios.

Willing to try any other suggestions.
