Ok I’m going to upgrade from an evga X58 to a gigabyte G1 A2 X79. Well either that or an evga X79. So I guess my question is for all you gigaheads using the G1A2. How do you like it, and should I be concerned about the problems I’ve read about so far? :-\

so I guess there are no problems or no one has an opinion or no one has this board even though it got 17 peeps ?????

Hi and welcome.
I don't have the motherboard myself so I cannot speak from personal experience however I see all the posts that come on the forum and there have been very few with this board as the focus. Usually that means that there is not much wrong with it as the posts come in thick and fast for any board that has issues. As far as I am aware it is a very nice motherboard and would make the basis of a good system if you can afford it and all the accessories. ;)

Its a niche in a niche market.
Since mainstream (Z68, 1155) has come a long way, the X79 is pretty unimpressive by comparison.
The cost difference of the motherboard + RAM would yield a better performance gain on a Z68 platform.
Then there's Ivy Bridge...
