Hello all ..
I was wondering if someone could help us at all .. I recently had to do a RMA with the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA UD7 due to it wasn't posting into bios or starting up we couldn't even get into the bios to flash the dam thing ..
So they changed the motherboard for a new one and i got that today? They also said they flashed the new motherboard to F7 for the AMD FX 8120 but still having problems with it ? The on the on-board display now just showing 00 that's all ..
I have also tried two diffident set's of 16GB ram one from G.SKILL and the other from Avexir these are both DDR3 1600MHz ..and still nothing can't seem to get the system to run..
The Full System Spec is
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA UD7
AMD FX 8120
Corsair H50
AVEXIR Core Series 16GB 1600MHz or G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB 1600MHz ..
GTX 570
WD Caviar Black 1tb
Raidmax RX-1000AE 1000W

Hi there,
not exactly sure what 00 means on the LCD but I have a nagging feeling that I have read it means that everything is basically OK with the system.
When you say the PC isn't running do you mean you are not getting anything showing on the monitor or that none of the fans are running?
If it's that you are not getting anything showing on the monitor, have you another GPU to try? Have you connected any extra power leads to the GPU if needed? Have you checked the monitor power lead and the video cable are connected properly.
If it's that you are not getting any power to the fans etc the check that you have connected all the power leads to the motherboard. Also check that you do not have an electrical short that can cause similar problems.
Try going back to the very basic components CPU, cooler, GPU and one stick of RAM and see if that gets the PC running.

Well just tried all the above nothing seems to be working .. wired ???

Did you try a different Graphics Card?
-
Going to give that ago soon looking into buying a HD 5450 or GT 210 .. I see a lot of people having so many problems with these new boards up to now ..
-
I did have similar issues where it would seem everything was working but I was getting no display on the monitor and it was down to the Graphics card not being recognised properly during POST.
Have you tried putting your GPU into a different PCIE slot on the motherboard to see if that gets things working?
-
Yup nothing what so ever .. I even complain to the dealer who sent the motherboard away and he said everything was sorted and tested before he sent it to me .. I also given him a bit of a hard time.. ;D ::)

Just looking on google also seems right a lot of people have been having problems with the memory or the graphic card, going to buy a cheap card later on and will let you know.. i have also looked at the pins on the cpu they are all fine ..

Well just got the new GPU and guess what nothing fired up tried every PCIE slot still nothing happened also change the ram still nothing happened .. Have a funny feeling the CPU faulty so it looks like i'm going to have to wait another 2 weeks to get it sorted out wtf ... :-\
