The board booted fine initially. Using an A8-3870k APU, 16gb of ram, and a 128gb ssd. Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit installed and ran fine.
The problem occurred when I added in my highpoint 2720 raid card in. Everytime I boot now it stops after the raid screen where it says "loading operating system" and doesn't boot anymore. Before the card the SSD showed as scsi 0. After I installed the raid card is switched the raid to scsi 0 and the ssd to scsi 1. I set it in the bios to boot off the ssd first but it always stops after the raid screen. I also tried the f12 boot menu and it does the same thing. The raid card is from my old server and it worked fine.
I can unplug the hard drives to the raid card or remove the raid card altogether and it boots up fine and my ssd is switched back to scsi 0. I really don't know if if there's something I haven't tried or if this is a bios issue and I have to hope and pray for an update. Really disappointed right now as I was really looking forward to getting my new server up and running.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome.
As you correctly assume the problem, seems to be down to the card. Try flashing the BIOS of the motherboard to the latest version and updating the firmware of the Highpoint card also.
It might also be worth setting the drive as the primary boot device and the card as secondary.

I updated the motherboard bios to the newest version to no avail. The card I don't see any updates for. I set the ssd as the primary boot device before I made my post.

If I have the hard drives unplugged from the raid card it boots right through. I can wait till it loads into windows and plug the drives back in and it works completely. I really don't want to have to unplug them and plug them in every time I turn the computer on though. Any other ideas on how to resolve this issue?
