Hi all - grateful for some guidance...
Am considering purchasing a GA-MA785GM-UD2H motherboard and an Athlon II X4 620 or 630. I note from the Gigabyte website that the BIOS Version needs to be at F3 to support these CPUs ( http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ProductID=3142 ). What will happen if the shipped board has an earlier BIOS (F1) on it? Will I be able to boot up far enough to be able to upgrade the BIOS (I had a problem like this a few years ago with an Abit board)?
Thanks in advance - Jerry

probably it will boot but cpu will not be correctly recognized
total no-boot happens very seldom

Yeah it will boot but as kangoo pointed you will get a 'cpu unrecognized' message. You can then going into the QFlash and flash to latest revision :)
