Title: HD 5870 SOC undervolting
Post by: monstrs on March 27, 2012, 06:59:12 pm
Hello.

I have problem to undervolt my Gigabyte HD 5870 SOC cards, i got two cards in crossfire and all i want that they could be cooler. So wanted to undervolt them, but no go :( With msi afterburner there is no option, with gigabyte oc guru i can only increase voltage. Is there any other option how to decrease voltage? Thank you very much for help.

Hi

The problem being that if you decrease the voltage on the GPU you will probably get problems with it running properly. I understand your reasoning but I don't think it is a good idea.

There is no problem with that, if it will not operate on the lower voltage, i just can lower core clock and memory, just how to lower voltage?
