Title: GA-X58A-UD3R Rev. 2.0: USB Headphone Disables All Audio
Post by: drweller on March 31, 2012, 12:53:18 am
I am not able to install a Logitech H370 USB Headset in my Win 7 64 bit desktop. When I plug in the USB cable, a red "X" overlays the speaker icon at the bottom left of the desktop.  All of the audio playback and record features are inoperable.  When I unplug the USB plug, the red "X" disappears and the  audio returns to normal.  I have tried the headset in different USB ports but the results are the same.

So, my basic question is: does ReadAudio support USB audio devices?  I see several other posts in other forums with similar problems.  The Logitech support person suggested that I "repair" my Windows 7 installation.  I'm not ready to try that yet.

I don't know what steps to follow to remedy this problem.  Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Are you using the latest Realtek drivers?  I'm not sure about USB devices, you may need to ask Realtek directly to confirm, or ask Gigabyte directly here

There is an option in the GUI for those that you can set that I believe might relate to what you are seeing, does either of these look like it would help or be what's causing the issue?

Latest Realtek drivers are here, you want one of the top two links, depending on your OS type 32/64
