Title: Com Con (Comic Convention)
Post by: Ben on March 31, 2012, 11:40:38 pm
Hope this is okay under the general discussions page.

Hi guys went to my first ever Com Con, yesterday, absolutely fantastic, just seeing every one dressed up in their superhero/comic  fantasy role.

We had a few stars signing photos & given a 5min chat with each of them.

Some of the costumes worn by the fans eft nothing to the imagination especially the females.

This is the first time we have had one of these in South Aussie, mostly they go to Sydney, Melbourne & Canberra, so this was great, it is on for the

weekend only, but the place was mobbed, so lets hope they bring it back again.

Just thought I would share this with you.

Ben.

Hi Ben,

nice to know that you aren't always overlooked in South Aus but where are the pictures? I could do with a laugh!  ;)

Yep especially of the female characters who leave NOTHING to the imagination!

My wife forbade me to take any pictures let alone a camera.

So I will have to leave it to your imagination.

Imagine Klingon women with boobs almost hanging out, one had a costume on where the top half just barely covered her as the bottom half was exposed.

I really wish I had my camera with me as some of the costumes were...  yeh words fail me.

Just think of all the comic characters & you will have a basic idea, if you watched the 'Doctor Who' episode where one of the stars dresses up as a policewoman, the one one at the show had less on.

Won't mention the girl with the cardboard box on her head, or the one dressed up as the TARDIS, let alone the one that had the front end of a pointy space ship stuck to her face looked like a bad nose job.

Ben.
PS.
Maybe next time I will leave the wife home.

Ah yes, the old: "My wife wouldn't let me!" reason.

I have faced that too on several occasions so I can sympathise, but usually it is when I want to buy something. :'(

Still, I have a very good imagination..... Wow! I see what you mean.  :D

I would have to agree. In the interests of decency and her delicate personal sensitivity it is kinder to leave her at home in a place where she feels safe and secure. Cameras don't have these problems.  ;)
