I've built a system with the specs below and I'm using the onboard DVI port to connect a Dell U2410 monitor.
I've noticed that when the monitor goes into powersave all that happens is the screen goes blank, monitor led stays blue rather than orange.
Tried a different monitor (Asus VS247H) but this monitor constantly flips in and out of powersave.
Anyone else experienced this?
specs:
GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 rev1.3 mb F12 bios
i3 2130 cpu
8gb corsair ram
antec 850w psu

Hi
From what you have reported it would seem that the monitor is at fault here.
In saying that though it wouldn't hurt to check the settings for power saving in both Windows and the BIOS just to confirm.

Not convinced there is any problem with the monitor, its fine when connected to another pc.
I also, as mentioned, tried a different monitor which also didn't enter standby.
I've installed a video card and connected the monitor to that instead of onboard video and it all works fine.
