We have a problem in that audio recording stops working and records interference instead when the Hyper-V role is installed in Windows Server 2008 R2, this is probably related to AMD-V actually being used. If we switch off AMD virtualization in the BIOS the issue goes away, unfortunately so does virtualization.
The board in question is a GA-890FXA-UD5 rev 2.1, we have a number of these. All are updated to the latest BIOS which is available for this revision of board.
Has anyone else encountered this, more importantly is there a solution?

We have run through this problem with Microsoft and they believe it to be a fault within the design of the motherboard, they have offered to assist Gigabyte with investigating this issue if Gigabyte are willing to do so.
Anyone from Gigabyte care to comment on this?

Hi Nick and welcome.
Mostly this forum although owned by Gigabyte is run by us users and so it is unlikely that you will get any feedback from the manufacturer here. They do have a administrator that oversees the forum but obviously he is very busy and probably won't even see your post. You could try PMing him at :
