Title: GA-H55M-S2: Memory compatibility
Post by: bilbor on April 27, 2012, 08:31:06 am
hi,
GA-H55M-S2 v1.3, F4 BIOS version (latest)
i5 1st generation

I want to upgrade my current memory. Because it happened in the past, I want to make sure the memory I want to buy is compatible with my motherboard.

So the memory is Corsair ( CML8GX3M2A1600C9)  8gb (2x4) 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 dual channel at 1.5v

I think they will work with no problems, but then again I am not all knowing :)

Do I have to worry about not being compatible  ?

Your motherboard supports 1333mhz without an overclock, and that RAM is 1600mhz. You might want to try and find some 1333mhz DDR3 RAM instead.

spikey_richie, i bought 2x4gb corsair 1600mhz and i'm having bluescreens. But the mother board does support 1600 so, what is the problem? is something with the voltage?
