Title: G1Assassin 2 won't sleep properly
Post by: megatech1966 on May 10, 2012, 02:22:10 pm
Hello all.
One problem I am having with my G1 Assassin 2 is the sleep mode is not working properly.
It seems to go to sleep ok.
But when I wake it, I get a blank screen and have to reset to get it to boot.

Regards
Mark

I hate the exact same problem with my G1.Sniper 2.  After I loaded F5 bios, it went away.

Hi Mark.

Normally sleep problems are due to the system not being 100% stable. Are you overclocking anything ? If so try running it at default settings and see if that makes any difference. Load Optimised BIOS Defaults. Also make sure that you have the latest BIOS version loaded.

Hi all, I have nearly the exact same problem, but even worse.
Mine won't wake at all, so I press power and the computer starts but almost immediately blue screens.
It then restarts itself with the F8 menu. I choose boot normally and all is well again.
Bios is latest [F10] and running defaults.
OS - win7sp1 x64
vga - gigabyte gtx 680
hdd - 2 x 2tb raid0 - intel sata 3 ports
current drivers from gigabyte website

edit: tried disabling hybrid sleep and it would wake ok and get to the logon screen then bsod.
Tried disabling 'require password' and it would get to the desktop, then the desktop disappears, then  bsod.
Will try 32 bit next, if that still fails, will try non-raid.

I can't really add anything to what you have just posted as it seems the best way to approach the issue.  Make sure everything is running at stock with no OC.

Maybe if you still have problems try using a previous BIOS to see if that helps.

I did save my orignal F7 bios. I take it that the mb will allow flashing an older version?
