Title: keyboard/boot issues, GA970A-UD3
Post by: Lieutenant Worf on May 24, 2012, 09:44:06 pm
I am running the GA970A-UD3.  I updated my BIOS from F4 to F5.

After I did this, the USB keyboard (inverted T-arrow keys) won't let me choose Windows or Linux (LILO dual-boot screen booted the default).  So, the USB ports won't work until after an OS takes control.

When I downgraded to F4 BIOS, everything was fine again.  The old PS/2 keyboards are fading out, they really are.  I prefer to use a USB keyboard.  But I cannot with the F5 BIOS.

Has anyone else noticed this, reported this or overcome this?

Thanks!

I had the same issue, but through the bios.  I fixed it by plugging it into a different port.

also, try clearing cmos then loading system defaults in bios.  Sometimes settings get stuck and need reconfiguring/reset.
