Title: External HDD disconnected every reboot. Z77-DS3H
Post by: todesto on May 26, 2012, 05:46:42 am
Hi, all.
I have external HDD - WD 500GB which I connect to store my data and I used it wih other computer.  This HDD was connected all the time with that computer (Asus/AMD) and it was recognized right away on reboot.

Now I got thie Z77-DS3H board and hooked this HDD, it will connect as I plug in the UBS port, then when I reboot the computer while HDD is connected, computer would not see HDD unless I press the button (yes there is a button on HDD) or unplug and replug it.

Is there a BIOS setting that I am not aware of? How can I keep thei HDD connected?

Thank you in advance for your advice.
