K I have a 990FXA-UD3 and am having issues getting it to read USB 3.0 devices. It will read 2.0 devices fine???? The settings in the BIOS for both Front and back USB 3.0 are on. I have on most current version of Motherboard BIOS F8 and Etron USB drivers .112. Not sure what else to check anyone please help : )

well, it sounds like your 3.0 device is failing. It should work as 2.0 if nothing else. so if both 2.0 and 3.0 are not working there is a major proble.
did you try 3.0 device in all ports, even 2.0?
maybe try a new driver from etron's website.

I have their most current driver. What is weird is if i plug the usb 2.0 device into 3.0 slot it works, if i plug in my 3.0 device in a 2.0 slot it works, just won't work in 3.0 slot.

Did you go to Etron's website and download the latest driver?
http://www.etron.com/EJ168.php
this is version 112, gigabyte has only version 104.
Also, be gently plugging in the device. These things can be sensitive.

:) Thanks man, but I already had to .112 drivers installed. Any other suggestions?

Last think is trying to uninstall before reinstalling and using driversweeper to make sure all config files that get left behind are removed. Maybe even ccleaner to clean registry as well.
If those fail you may need to return it. Hopefully you have time left otherwise an rma may be in order.

Tried that no go, i have been doing tons of reading and tons of people with the Etron Chip are having problems, i think it is just a bad chip, they work fine as USB 2.0 at least :-\

Hi
After reading what you have tried, I would advise you to RMA the board unless it is still within the return period for the retailer. Contact them anyway to see about getting it sorted.

If settings are good then it should have worked.... You need to change that thing...
