Title: Corsair memory
Post by: mr_g on July 17, 2012, 03:10:31 pm
Just wanted to know if the new corsair dominator platinum memory will work with the gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud7 motherboards? Has anyone bought it and tried it with the ga-990fxa-ud7 motherboard? Also is there any memory kits out there that are ddr3 2400mhz or more that are compatible with the ga-990fxa-ud7 motherboard and with an amd fx 8150 cpu?

I think the bulldozer only supports up to 1866MHz ram without overclocking.

If you want higher speeds you will need to overclock the cpu to achieve this feat.

I just bought 1866MHz ram with the tightest timing available.  G.Skill RipjawsX 8-9-9-24 @ 1.5v at the time.
