I just installed a seagate 3tb hard drive on my X58A-UD 3R board but it's not showing up in the bios. I have the latest version of the bios for my board but it's not showing up. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi there, are you using this drive for storage? Is it showing in Control Panel_Disk Management? Is the drive partitioned?
What is your boot drive?
Nice for more information so we can provide answers

I had a similar problem with the same motherboard and hard drive, and a BIOS upgrade fixed it for me.
Mine actually showed up in the BIOS, but it only showed up as a 750 GB drive. Windows saw the entire 3 TB, but the BIOS did not.
The reason that I wanted the BIOS to see it was so that I had two drives and I wanted to set them up as RAID 1.

It's not showing up in the bios or windows disk management. Yes i want to use it to store my bluray rips.
