Title: bios upgrade will not @BIOS, will not flash
Post by: jetset517 on August 01, 2012, 01:34:37 am
Hello,
I have an X58-UD3R, rev 2.0 mobo with an i7 processor, 2-2 TB drives in a raid 1, 24 GB ram, 1-240 GB SSD boot drive, and 1-120 GB SSD aux drive for production work.  I would like to upgrade the bios to the current version which is FH.  This file unpacks to 2 MB size.  When I try to install it using @BIOS I receive an abnormal program termination message.  So I take the FH file, place it on a usb drive and flash the bios from the bios screen.  When I select the file to flash, I receive a file too large message.  So I am curious as to how a bios upgrade file could be too large for the bios.  I appreciate any and all responses.
Cheers.
