Hi,
I am looking at getting either the GA-Z77X-UP4/5 TH motherboard, to be able to run three monitors simultaneously.
Two motherboard ports will be thunderbolt/MiniDisplayPort, the third port will be VGA (or DVI).
All my monitors are DVI. Can someone confirm if I need ACTIVE miniDisplayPort->DVI adapters, or will regular ones do?
Regular adapter is $13: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00310K9VQ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Active adapter is $31: http://www.amazon.com/Accell-B087B-006B-DisplayPort-Single-Link-Certified/dp/B004071ZXA/ref=pd_cp_e_1
and I would need two of them...
Thanks!!

Triple monitor support requires 2x DisplayPort plus either D-Sub or HDMI, not DVI.
When a monitor connected to the DVI-D port, the MDP2 Thunderbolt port can support Thunderbolt storage device(s) only.
