Title: z68xp-ud3 uefi bios
Post by: mi_dad04 on August 19, 2012, 05:18:45 pm
I just flashed the uefi bios to my z68xp-ud3 and I lost the dolby digital live ability.  Is this going to be fixed?

Hi,

Have you checked that the correct settings are enabled in the BIOS ? It is no longer called the Azalia Codec like it used to be but is now referred to as Audio Device Control in the Peripherals section.

yes That is enabled in the bios,  I also noticed there are a few other things not in the uefi bios, like load line calibration and pll over-voltage

Yes there do seem to be a few quirks that still need ironing out with the new UEFI BIOSes. As with anything else hopefully we should see them all gradually get sorted.

update previous post:
i figured out the graphics issue, it's just that i had to take internal graphics off auto and set enable. but the main headache is the fact that the bios isn't uefi but just a hybrid bios/uefi and it wouldn't work with a gpt partitioned ssd as a boot disk.  took alot of googling to find a few very technical answers as to the problem.  as far as the dolby go i still can't find it :(
