Title: Z77X-UD5H Sandy or ivy?
Post by: Denon on August 28, 2012, 11:59:49 am
So does this board only work with sandy bridge out of the box ??? It's a bit confusing as I just bought one with intentions to buy a i7 ivy but the forums say it doesn't support ivy unless you purchase a sandy to flash the board to support ivy  :-[
Do I return the board or am I forced to buy a sandy bridge CPU? I have no other way of updating the board to the advertised specifications.
Thanks

Well I just completed a build with the UD3H and it worked with my i5-3570k right out of the box.  Hope that helps!

It works with IB out of the box. I am typing this message from my UD5 and 3770K @ 4.5GHz.

It works a treat!
