Title: GA-890GPA-UD3H revisions explained?

The GIGABYTE web site lists revisions for this board as 3.1, 2.1, 2.0 and 1.0.

Assuming that you use the right BIOS and flashing tools for each revision, I would like to find a thread or discussion about the limitations of each revision.

I'm particularly interested in the SATA III / USB 3 capabilities of each revision, or other ways in which one revision might perform differently than another.

I have version 2.1 and it is excellent for AM3.

Version 3.1 is Bulldozer/AM3+ ready .

I would get version 3.1 if possible.

Versions 2 and 1 are old :)

You can see the main features on the product page as  each version has it s own.

Does that mean the other versions can't do this even after BIOS flashing.

If so, I'd love to know where to find some v3.1 ...

You can see exactly what version supports  Bulldozer by viewing the CPU support list available for every version.

Version 2.1 had some beta BIOS for Bulldozer but it was removed as most probable it doesn t do well what it should.

Any particular reason you want this board that has been left with no BIOS support ?!
You can get an AMD 9xx chipset based boards that will support Vishera , second generation Bulldozer, thing that any version of GA-890GPA-UD3H will not have.

I tried the Bulldozer beta BIOS for the 2.1 board and it would not allow even a very MINOR overclock. I think that is why they removed it.
