Title: AMD Fx quad core prosessor after bios update
Post by: demongorgan on August 31, 2012, 05:10:43 pm
hi, i recently updated my BIOS for the GA-78MLT-S2P rev. 4.0 to FDa

however my AMD Bulldozer FX 4170 is now only showing 2.82ghz whereas before my bios update it was 4.2ghz and it shipped as standard 4.2ghz
any idea how to get this back up to 4,2ghz again?

Revert to the BIOS you had when it was working properly.
BIOS is not a driver ,do not update if everything works properly.
The BIOS name seems to show some beta release anyway.Install final releases

Then if Gigabyte is aware of the problem since you contacted them i am sure they will come out with a bios to address the issues that the first beta bios cause's you. Is a work in progress just make sure you send tech support the results you are having.
