Hi all. I am new to computer building and have just purchased a Gigabyte 990fxa-ud7 motherboard and an Enermax Fulmo GT case. The query I had was in regards to the USB 3.0 connection on the motherboard.
The case comes with 4 USB 3.0 ports on the front. It already has two 20-pin cables attached to these, seemingly with each cable designed to connect two of the ports. However, on the motherboard, there only seems to be space to fit one of these cables. Can someone please advise if it is possible to connect both of these cables in some way or if I need an adaptor to do this?
Like I say, it's the first pc I have ever built. I would appreciate any advice you can offer!
Many thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris and welcome.
I think your problem lies in the fact that the Enermax Fulmo case uses ordinary USB3.0 connectors to link the motherboard and front panel ports. Several manufacturers still do it this way and I am always noting this in my reviews of them. What you will need is an adapter like this :
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Akasa-AK-CBUB09-15BK-Internal-Adapter-Cable/dp/B005LDY0SO/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1346655329&sr=1-2
This will enable two front panel ports to connect to one motherboard USB3.0 header. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the welcome and the info! I'll give that a try.
