Hi

I've heard that Microsoft sells them ...but it is only a rumour!

There are many sites around the net that I am sure you can still pick up a copy from.

I am a teacher and I also enroll in classes often at the local community college [swimming, fitness, etc.] and Microsoft has often offered the Ultimate Steal where they sell you MS Office for a fraction the cost.

Keep your eyes open for when then do it again!

When Office 2007 Ultimate was selling for $700+, Microsoft was letting them go to students for $79.

I am almost certain they will do it again for MS Office 2013.

Presently, Microsoft has Office University 2010 for $99 for students.  All you need to do is enroll in a local community college, get a edu email address, and away you go.

BTW, you can drop the class later if you like.  Microsoft states as long as you are enrolled in the class, you can order Office.

Oh, here's the terms:

This Program is available only to individuals who meet the criteria described below (the “Eligible Students”):

    Individual must be a student at an eligible accredited educational institution geographically located in the United States and must be actively enrolled in at least 0.5 course credit hours at that educational institution and must be able to provide proof of enrollment to Microsoft or its appointed vendor upon request;
    Individual must successfully verify their eligibility status through the Offer Site’s online student status verification process; and
    Individual must have a Microsoft account or create one at the time of purchase.

Hope this helps!
