Title: Bios update failed, how do I start mobo from backup bios - GA-M68MT-S2(rev. 3.1)
Post by: olly007 on September 06, 2012, 09:55:15 am
Hi all,

Can anyone help please.

I updated my mobo bios to new version, worked fine using qflash, but now mobo does not start, no post just black screen.

Figured the backup bios would kick in and update the main bios in an event of a problem, but apparently not.

Any ideas if I can get the backup bios b_bios to update the main bios m_bios?

Many thanks !

Olly

Hi

To restore the Main BIOS by flashing from the Backup BIOS you simply follow these steps but be aware timing is crucial so it may take a few attempts.

You can kick in the backup BIOS by shutting down the PSU from the wall, then hold down your case power button in and then turn on the power supply button, a few seconds later the board will start, shut off the power supply then.   Then you can turn on the power supply again and power up the board normally and DualBIOS will kick in.
