Hi,
i recently used @BIOS to update my mobo from F7 to F17. After updating, i got the msg that BOOTMGR is missing. I went into the BIOS and noticed that the boot preferences only recognized my external HD, and not my SSD (which i had been running windows 7 off of before). My HD settings are set to AHCI. On POST screen, if i enter boot options via F12, my SSD does show and i can boot windows from there. However, it still doesnt show in BIOS. any suggestions? thank you

Hi
Yes it is most likely just your BIOS settings that are wrong. Make sure that you have the SSD set as primary drive and also the boot drive. You say it is already changed to AHCI but check as when you flashed the BIOS it will have changed all the settings. You should be running Optimised BIOS Defaults to start with.
