Hi,
I have the Z68A-D3H-B3 m/b with an i3 2100 and 8GB of Ram. Bios at F13 version. Power supply is a corsair 650W with two pciex 6+2 pins
I was working with the onboard display until i bought a Palit GTX 560 OC graphics card.
When I put the card in the pciex 16 slot it doesn't give signal to any display port, only the fan works. I even tried resetting the CMOS but nothing changed. Even windows do not recognize it
I put it then in the pciex 4 slot and it worked fine.
Could someone explain me who's fault is this and how-if-can it be solved
Thanks!

Hi and welcome.
I suspect that your problem is purely down to the fact that you haven't changed the port settings in the BIOS for the new graphics card to be the primary outlet. Go into the BIOS and swap over the Primary GPU and also select the PCIEx16 port as the default.

hi,
could you be more specific please ? I haven't seen any option like that. The two I can see are the init display and the status of onboard which can be auto/always/on if not peg.
I also tried the card in an x8 slot and it didn't work. I tried an older card too, the same :(
thanks
ps. i just realized a typo in the title, pciex 16 not 15 :-[

Have you plugged in the power cables to the card? Set to PCI/PEG in Bios. Have you tried reseatting the card?

of course. i tried it many times and with other older card without cables. only the fan works.
card works full only in pcie x4 slot
