Title: newbie help with GA-A75M-D2H

This is the 1st time I'm building a pc. In the motherboard manual it says:

Set the APU host frequency in accordance with the APU specifications. It is not recommended that the system bus frequency be set beyond hardware specifications since it does not meet the standard requirements for the peripherals. If you wish to set the frequency beyond the standard specifications, please do so according to your hardware specifications including the APU, graphics card, memory, hard drive, etc.

Can someone please explain to me in non-tech terms how to do this step by step?

load system defaults!!

It will set everything to AUTO and you'll be good to go.

Thank you Mark. I presume you mean "Load Optimized Defaults" in the CMOS Setup Utility right?

correct.  You only need manual settings for high overclocks.
