Title: GA-EX58-UD5 USB Power
Post by: Jasonkruys on December 11, 2009, 02:43:01 pm
I have tried a number of Bios's now, including the latest f9k, and they all appear to be the same.

The problem I have, is that after shutdown, my usb devices appear to still be getting power. This causes me two problems, 1. My external USB backup drive does not go to sleep and spins away forever and ever, and 2. my Roccat mouse's LED's stay lit, lighting up the whole room whilst I sleep.

I have not got wake on mouse/keyboard enabled.

Is there a Bios version that actually kills power to USB when shutdown, or is there a bios setting that I am missing?

Hi,
I don't think there is a setting to disable usb,
Have you checked your power/sleep options?
You can of course switch off PSU,
Cheers

Yeah my USB mouse stays lit when ive shutdown, turning off at wall or PSU will solve this.
