Title: Internal Card reader and Windows 7 64bit not working
Post by: devdeep on September 28, 2012, 09:48:15 am
Having newly built on Z77-D3H, I have noticed that my internal crd reader does not work. It is recognised as F drive but the with a card in, it will not read it. I had a spare reader which I swoped over and still the same. I googled and there is talk of 64bit problem s and on board motherboard controllers.

Has anyone got over this problem please?

Hi

I haven't heard of any particular problem but things such as cardreaders are well known as being temperamental at the very least. A lot are cheaply made in China and don't work at all.  If there is any Windows version issue I haven't come across it yet.

Would you recommend a quality internal one with say USB 3 internal header please?

Thanks

I had to bite the bullet and buy an internal card reader with USB 3 header which was windows 7 compatible. This seems to work great so far!
