I'm having problem with my motherboard GA-Z77M-D3H where slot PCI Express 4x and 16x not work. My video card is AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series. When I put the video card in the x16 pc connects not more of the beep and no signal on the monitor. I wonder if you have to change something in the bios, I've cleared my plate and nothing remains the problem.

Hi and welcome.

I would think that it isn't a big problem but even so it can take a bit of finding sometimes. I would suggest removing anything that is not necessary for the system to boot up and then clear the CMOS by removing the battery after unplugging the computer from the mains supply. Leave it for a few minutes and then replace the battery. Load Optimised BIOS Default settings and save and exit. Reboot and post what beep code it makes.

I asked you to post what beep code it produced. This is important as it gives an indication of the fault.

no beep.

I turn on the computer and has no signal on the monitor.
The cooler connect normally, but does not produce the BEEP

Ok. Does anything happen or is it totally dead ?

Please note that buzzers are solid state devices and therefore are polarity concious so they must be connected correctly to work. If you look closely there is usually a "+" stamped into the plastic casing. Make sure that you attach that side to the positive terminal on the motherboard's Front Panel header.

I think the best thing now is to remove the motherboard from the case and build just a very basic build on the wortkbench.

Make sure that you observe anti-static precautions.

Lay some cardboard or use the motherboard box that is non-conductive on the worktop and remove the motherboard/CPU/heatsink/fan/buzzer/one stick of memory/graphics card and PSU from the case and put it on the cardboard. Add the keyboard and mouse and try and boot. The system should try and make a beep or series of beeps. Please post what sounds it makes.

hey man... tank you... I solved my problem with your help. I disassembled the computer and did a cleaning and you suggested me.
