I have a Z77-D3H with F15 bios, i want to update to F18 with Q-flash but always detect no available drive. I then read about Q-flash unable to read drive with over 2GB.
I don't have floppy or optical drive and i read flashing with @Bios is high risk. Need a solution :(

I have Q-flashed bios on many boards using my Patriot 8gig Usb.
Sometimes the usb might be listed as a hdd,at least in my case.
No storage device shows up?

Go ahead and use the @Bios.........The newer one seems to be a lot more stable now.

@TFisher, I tried 8GB and 16GB stick with no luck, both formatted to FAT32, have USB Legacy enabled and set it to HDD or Floppy, done everything i can but nothing works :( Unlike the Asus EZ Flash reads all the sticks without a fuss.
@Fatman, That's a relief to hear. Still prefer to use Q-flash and leave @Bios for the very last resort.

Hi
Whilst some members do report a problem with some pen drives I have used many with little problem at all. As has alkready been mentioned sometimes it shows as a HDD as opposed to a USB drive but apart from that it should work fine. Make sure that it is formatted as FAT or FAT32 though.
I would suggest just trying another drive preferably of a smaller capacity (under 2GB) as it can sometimes help. Just press F12 when booting for the boot menu and it should be there.
