Hi All,
Just bought the subject listed board and it works great until I come to turn it off.
Running XP (clean install yesterday along with the Gigabyte drivers disk), I just do the 'Start' - 'Shutdown' and let it do it's thing but as soon as the system completely powers down, it powers back up again all by itself.
Just so you know, it's got a 3.2G Intel CPU and a pair of 2 gig DDR3 sticks that are in the compatible list so they're not an issue.
Any ideas as I've never come across this before.
Cheers
Carl

Make sure to download the most recent drivers from gigabytes site. Also i had that happen and it wasnt drivers as you didnt mention full specs i will just relate what i found. After swapping a few parts i got a single 12v rail psu of decent quality and it fixed it.
Also update bios on motherboard to latest level before you start swapping parts do the cheapest thing first which is drivers.
After that you can buy\borrow a better PSU and check it.
Also what processor exactly dual core, quad make sure it is on support list the only 3.2 i see on it is a dual core.

That shoulda read 2.3 (E6550) damn typos :o anyway it's sorted, turned out to be the wake-up settings in the bios - disabled them and bingo turn it off and it stays off ;D
Just so you know though, prior to finding out that little snippet of info, I did download the lastest drivers and from what I could see it has the latest bios.
Thanks for the response, it was much appreciated.

You are more than welcome. As i say start with the easiest and cheapest as in drivers and bios then and i usually do this first is to turn off and powersaving feature or turbo feature and set my memory and clock to what i want. If i wanted to save power i wouldnt buy what i do...lol
