Title: Mounting Location for 2-USB 3 Port Panel
Post by: cbankston on October 12, 2012, 09:26:26 pm
The GA-Z77X-UD5H comes with an accessory panel that has 2 USB-3 ports.  It appears to be designed to mount in a drive bay.  The only bays on my Corsair Carbide 500R case with external access are for 5.5" devices, and mounting it there would leave an unfilled space around the panel.  Can anyone suggest an alternative mounting site?  Where is is designed to be mounted?

Hi

Yes you are right. The expansion tray is made to fit a 3.5" bay or of course a 5.25" bay but wioth an adapter. This is what you will need to equip yourself with. They are easy to obtain from most computer shops for a small sum. Make sure that you get one with a front plate to take up the empty space between the two sizes.
