Title: GA-M68M-S2P SSD compatibility
Post by: ctwist on November 10, 2012, 04:26:40 pm
I have been using the latest chipset driver (nVidia 15.56) for the GA-M68M-S2P v1 motherboard for a couple of years without any problems (I downloaded this from the Gigabyte site). Recently, I installed a SATA solid state drive (SSD), and although the BIOS recognized it, Windows XP could not detect it. I researched the chipset on the nVidia site, and discovered that the latest driver that is compatible with the 7025-630a chipset is version 15.45. I installed this, and XP recognized the new drive. After I had got the drive working, I upgraded to 15.56 again, and again XP could not detect it. I reverted to 15.45 and it is working fine. I recommend avoiding 15.56 for this motherboard.

Thanks, that seems like good advice for this chipset.
