Title: GA M57SLI-S4 AM2+ Issues
Post by: Firebird on October 20, 2008, 11:04:38 pm
Hello, I recently bought this board (the GA M57SLI-S4) believing it could support a phenom X3 8450 processor with the FG bios. The problem is that it is causing every program to segfault and error and crash randomly preventing any productive work from taking place   :o. I tried this same board with a X2 5600+ processor and there were no issues. So is there any way to solve this issue or am I dead in the water with this board and the phenom processor?

Thanks - Wilson Tang

Hi Wilson

please upgrade bios to the newest one (ver. FHa), attached, to solve this problem.
before making upgrade install older CPU like X2 5600+ to have stable platform for this process.
